      The swimmers in the Welsh group must have 1 Welsh qualifying time. Swimmers in the Welsh group have 10. 30 hours of training time available to them. This is broken down as follows:

  • **Sunday training 8 to 9.45 am (1 hour 45 min)
  • Sunday training 4:30 to 6:30pm (2 hour)
  • Monday training 6 to 8 pm (2 hours)
  • **Wednesday training 8 to 9 (one hour at the Wales National Pool)
  • Thursday training 6 to 7 am (1 hour) coach invite only
  • Thursday training 6 to 8.15 (2 hours 15 min)
  • Friday training 8 to 9.30 (1 hr 30 min)

**only invited swimmers can attend these sessions

Senior swimmers belonging to the Welsh group have additional training time available to them.  Theses training times are the same as those in the British group and can be seen below.

      The swimmers in the British group must be in the top 24 in British rankings in any stroke.  They are expected to attend 7 training sessions a week.  It should be noted, that swimmers within the top 100 in the British rankings in any one stroke can be identified as a British potential swimmer.

      Swimmers in the British stage have 14. 30 hours of training time available to them. This is broken down as follows:

  • Sunday 8am to 9.45 am (1 hour 45 min)
  • Sunday 4:30pm to 6:30pm (2 hour)
  • Monday 6pm to 8 pm (2 hours)
  • Tuesday 6:15am to 7:15am (1 Hour)
  • Tuesday 5:30pm to 7:30pm (2 hours)
  • Wednesday 8:00pm to 9:00pm (1 hour Wales National Pool)
  • Thursday 6:15 am to 7:15 am (1 hour)
  • Thursday 6:00pm to 8.15pm (2 hours 15 min)
  • Friday 8:00pm to 9.30pm (1 hr 30 min)
